What are my Numbers?
You may have heard this one, as I think it is a bit of a classic.
Two numbers (X and Y) are chosen such that both are greater than or equal to 2, and their sum does not exceed 100. The sum (X+Y) is given to Mr. S and the product (XY) is given to Mr. P.
The following conversation takes place:
Mr. S: I cannot determine the numbers
Mr. P: I know.
Mr. S: Now I have determined the numbers
Mr. P: Now I have also determined the numbers.
Determine X and Y.
